So I am 2 weekends behind so I will make this short and sweet. Cody has ran 4 times since Micro Mayhem. First was on the 20th at Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa, OK. In the Heat race he made a driving error which led to the car in 3rd making contact with his left front severally damaging the front of the car. He had a DNS for the feature. Then on the 22nd he was back in action at Gulf Coast Speedway in Alvin, TX where again he had a DNF in the feature because the car would not turn and he made the right choice and pulled it to the in field. Upon review we found one of the radius rod bolts only had 2 threads before coming out and was allowing the axle to roll under the car.
This past Friday the 28th he ran his first ever non wing event at Kennedale Speedway Park. In heat 1 he was involved in an accident (no particular fault of anyone just small track racing) but thanks to support at the track he was able to make it out for the feature. He started in 13th and worked his way up staying out of trouble and finished in the 6th position.
Last night the 29th again at Kennedale he had a good night going. Cody ran second in his heat race and appeared to be a competitive car for the feature. He ended up missing his mark entering into turn 3 halfway through the feature though and spun his self out. Final position for the night was 11th.
To say the month of June has been tough on the whole team is an understatement. We will be at Gator Motorplex in Willis, TX Saturday July 6th then we will enjoy our much needed 2 week break. While the month of June may have been a tough long month July is quickly approaching. We refuse to go down without a fight and will continue digging.
