Freeman Maneuvers to Runner-Up Result in Return to Mountain Creek

Inside Line Promotions – GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas (July 14, 2014) – Cody Freeman made a triumphant return last Friday.

After missing the previous two weekends of competition, Freeman recorded his eighth podium of the season and his third at Mountain Creek Speedway.

“It ended a lot better than it started,” he said. “The car didn’t run good at all in the heat race. Something did not get set up right. It was like I was dragging a boat anchor.”

Freeman ended sixth in his heat race after starting on the outside of the front row. That lined him up sixth for the 15-lap main event.

“We had some friends who helped us get things lined up for the feature,” he said. “We made some jetting changes for the carburetor.”

The changes made a huge difference as Freeman maneuvered from sixth to a second-place result.

“I am super excited,” he said. “It was deflating to go out there and perform so poorly in the heat race. Then to go out there in the feature and pick up where we left off a couple of weeks ago was a great feeling.”

Freeman will return to Mountain Creek Speedway this Friday and he will make his debut at 281 Speedway in Stephenville, Texas, on Saturday.
