Inside Line Promotions – LONGVIEW, Texas (Nov. 17, 2014) – Cody Freeman prefers racing his micro sprint indoors.
“It’s more fun,” he said. “It’s tighter racing. You get to use the bumper and be aggressive.”
Freeman is coming off a career-best season outdoors, where he registered 14 top-five finishes and 25 top 10s. His first indoor test of the season will be Nov. 28-29 at Resistol Arena in Mesquite, Texas, for the 5th annual Longhorn Shootout.
“I’m very confident,” he said. “Now that we’ve got the motor running the way it is, we’re closer to getting that first win.”
Freeman said the challenges of racing indoors are part of the added excitement.
“The car reacts totally different,” he said. “You have to let off the brake and get on the gas softer and harder.”
Freeman’s most recent race indoors was last January at the Tulsa Shootout.
