Freeman Returning to Mountain Creek and Kennedale This Weekend

Inside Line Promotions – LONGVIEW, Texas (May 18, 2015) – Cody Freeman was victim to a pair of rainouts last weekend.

Freeman’s scheduled events with the TOWR Series on Friday at Boyd Raceway in Boyd, Texas, and Saturday at Superbowl Speedway in Greenville, Texas, were cancelled because of the weather.

“I definitely would have rather been out there racing than not, but there’s nothing you can do to prevent the rain,” he said. “Hopefully we’ll get both races in this weekend so I can get back on the track.”

Freeman is slated to compete this Friday at Mountain Creek Speedway in Grand Prairie, Texas, and Saturday at Kennedale Speedway Park in Kennedale, Texas, with the TOWR Series.

Although he hasn’t scored a victory at Mountain Creek Speedway, Freeman powered to podium finishes during six of his eight races at the track last season. Three of those results were second-place finishes.

“We raced at Mountain Creek quite a few times last year, but haven’t been to that track this season,” he said. “We’re just going to go off the notes since we haven’t been there so long, but we’re pretty confident.”

Freeman won at Kennedale Speedway Park during his outdoor season opener two months ago.

“You always have more confidence racing at a track where you’ve done well,” he said. “We’ve gotten better each time we’ve gone there the past couple of years and ended up with a win the last time. The goal is to repeat that success this Saturday.”
