Inside Line Promotions – GREENVILLE, Texas (April 19, 2016) – A win is coming soon for Cody Freeman.
Freeman brought home his best finish of the season last Saturday at Superbowl Speedway, where he captured a runner-up in the Non-Wing A-Class micro sprint division.
“The car was amazing all night,” he said. “We had a car spin on the last lap … if I had another lap or two I think I could have taken the lead.”
Freeman opened the event by advancing from ninth to fifth place in a heat race. That lined him up on the outside of the front row for the main event.
“I fell back at the start … to about sixth,” he said. “About halfway through the feature the car really took off. The leader was only about a car length ahead of me at the finish.”
The second-place finish was Freeman’s sixth top five in his last 10 races at Superbowl Speedway.
He is scheduled to take this weekend off before returning to competition on April 29 at RPM Speedway in Crandall, Texas, and April 30 at 281 Speedway in Stephenville, Texas, with the Driven Midwest NOW600 National Micro Series presented by MyRacePass.
Freeman hasn’t ever competed at RPM Speedway and he finished second at 281 Speedway last season.
