Inside Line Promotions – LONGVIEW, Texas (June 30, 2014) – Cody Freeman recently received good news.

After thinking a couple of engine woes were likely to keep the team out several weeks, Freeman might be able to return to the track earlier than expected. The team just retrieved the primary engine following some electrical changes.

“We’ve got a motor and we’re starting to work on putting it in the car,” he said. “Now we’re looking at a possibility at racing a week sooner. If we get everything together we’d like to go to Mountain Creek Speedway (in Grand Prairie, Texas) on July 11 to shake the car down again. We’re familiar with the track so we know what it’s going to do.”

Being able to race that weekend is contingent on the team getting back the shocks and carburetors, which are currently being serviced. If those are ready in the next week and a half, Freeman said the team will tackle Mountain Creek Speedway for a test prior to a scheduled return to Oklahoma July 18 at Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa and July 19 at Port City Raceway in Tulsa.

Freeman has recorded two podium finishes in his two races at Mountain Creek Speedway this season. He was third on May 30 and he placed second on June 6.
